Today's Interior Design Toronto store spotlight focuses on Irpinia Kitchens, one of Toronto's premier retailers & manufacturers of custom cabinetry from kitchen cabinets to bathroom vanities, to custom storage.

Irpinia is also a certified Miele appliance dealer.

What brands does Irpinia represent?

As a notable manufacturer of quality cabinetry, Irpinia has a close relationship with many high-end designers and developers across Canada. Canadian developers rely on Irpinia to complete the cabinetry for their complex and extravagant residential condo projects in downtown Toronto and around the GTA.

Store locations

Irpinia has one flagship location in Toronto at Mt. Pleasant and Eglinton and two other showrooms in the Greater Toronto Area including Richmond Hill and Durham Region. Their products can also be purchased at a number of Irpinia dealers across Canada and the United States.

Brief history of the company

Founded in 1960 by a young tradesman from Italy, Irpinia is nothing short of a Canadian success story. Named after the tradesman’s hometown, Irpinia began its journey as a small shop on Ossington Avenue in Toronto. With a continued focus on quality and innovation, the company established itself as an industry leader for custom cabinetry in North America. The brand attracted a number of the world’s most famous celebrities, distinguished clientele, and high-profile residential developers and has completed some of the most complex and innovative cabinetry projects in the world.

Its quick growth soon fueled Irpinia to open a 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Richmond Hill. Despite its international success, Irpinia has remained a proudly Canadian company, with all of its custom cabinetry still produced in the GTA.

What makes Irpinia Kitchens unique?

For over 50 years, Irpinia’s position as a high-end kitchen brand has made them a cornerstone of the Canadian cabinet manufacturing industry, famous for its focus on quality and innovation:

“We spend a lot of time collaborating with our suppliers to make sure that we are ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. We pride ourselves on our customer-centric culture, and our ability to provide the full extent of customization they are looking for” -Todd Burdon, CMO Irpinia Kitchens

What's new in store?

Irpinia is launching new carcass colors and new drawer systems for 2019.

The new carcasses are inspired by some of the best in trendy European textured melamines that are taking Italy, Spain and Germany by storm. The new drawer systems will be more stylish, matched with the new colors, and have a few slight technical tweaks that make them even more functional.

Plans for the future?

  • Irpinia’s showrooms will get a refresh with new displays incorporating the latest kitchen technology.

  • Irpinia will be implementing new engineering software that integrates design software with machinery.

  • In addition to the software, Irpinia will begin operating with new automated machinery complete with artificial intelligence and machine learning.
