In their own words…

My name is Bret Williams - I am a 27 year old woman living in Toronto and have a background in product design. I have long since been obsessed with interiors and lighting so it was only a matter of time before this idea came to light.
Launched in September 2020 and proud to be Canadian, Huey offers elevated, handcrafted lighting to global interior designers and lighting geeks alike. This little business was born out of the frustrations of a first time home renovation. After hours of research, I saw the same lighting styles on various online channels over and over again, and I wanted something different. Thus, Huey was created.
Huey created what we couldn't find, an artful approach to lighting, and now here we are.

What make us unique is our artful approach to lighting. We consider light fixtures jewelry for the home, so we strive to provide our customers with a product and a shopping experience that reflects that sentiment. Our website and product photography build upon these ideals.
We want to elevate the lighting industry and offer customers something of quality with top notch design. We learned firsthand that it is exceedingly difficult to find a hand crafted lighting company with the quality and price point of Huey, especially in Canada. We want all of our designs, especially our inaugural Cherub, to be style-driven yet timeless.
With home improvement projects trending up this year, our lights can act as the final touch to a complete renovation, or a quick and easy way to refresh and elevate an existing space.
We also want to achieve our mission in a way that respects the environment too. Every light is made to order and because of this, there is no waste.
Finally, it is incredibly fulfilling to be able to manufacture each light from start to finish in Toronto and work with the extremely talented people that make this city so great and unique. We want to pass on that sense of pride to every one of our customers. We don't always need to purchase from the US or elsewhere!

Huey has just launched their first light, the Cherub, in 6 beautifully classic colourways to fit any room in any home.

For the moment, we are laser-focused on giving Cherub the attention it deserves! However, we are always developing new light fixture designs and we're looking forward to sharing them with everyone when the time comes.
